How does a person become a Christian? Is it by a prayer alone? Do we just ask Jesus into our heart, or is something more required? Acts 11:18 says, "And when they heard this, they quieted down, and glorified God, saying, "Well then, God has granted to the Gentiles also the repentance that leads to life." What exactly is repentance and how does it figure into salvation by grace through faith?

Paul Washer preached this sermon at a Southern Baptist Youth Conference in 2002. It is worth listening to. It just may break the paradigm you hold to in regards to how a person comes to faith in Christ and what is expected of them afterwards.
